HOW DOES THE FIBROBLAST PLASMA TREATMENT WORK? A plasma is an ionised gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons from atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons to coexist. The plasma spark causes instant contraction and tightening of skin collagen fibres, resulting in improvement of the skin firmness and tension causing lifting effect and decreasing wrinkles. PLASMA FIBROBLASTING can be a replacement to botox and fillers, the results can last up to 3 years. Most patients only require 1-3 treatments depending on skin laxity. Most clients see significant results after the first treatment. If additional treatments are required, they can be performed 6-12 weeks after original treatment. BEFORE TREATMENT - Avoid Spray tanning, tanning injections, sun tanning and tanning beds for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF5O to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned. Tyrosinase Inhibitor to helps ensure there is no overproduction of pigment in the skin aka hyperpigmentation. - Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with Plasma Pen • No facial acids, Botox, fillers, needling 14 days before or 21 days after Plasma Pen. • No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Plasma Pen. AFTER TREATMENT: - we recommend to NOT apply make up for 7 days, however if you wish ONLY mineral based make up can be applied from next day. - You may experience a “stinging” sensation in the treated area(s) immediately after treatment. * Burning sensation will soon reduce and Anti-inflammatory / anti histamine medication can help. * You may have some swelling especially around the eyes. Swelling usually only lasts a few days. (Days 2 & 3post treatment) * Ice packs can soothe and help reduce swelling. * Occasional weeping will settle. * Formation of brown / black crusts on skin surface. DO NOT PICK! * Crusts will fall off in few days. Do NOT pick crusts off as this will delay the healing process and could cause hyperpigmentation and scarring. * Keep treated area clean and dry. * Use sunscreen if out and about. * Do not cover with plasters or occlusive dressing. * Contact for advice if area becomes hot, red or weeping pus. * You may return to work the following day. However, you will not look your absolute best during the initial healing process
